I've mentioned before that we like to do 1 week every 6 or so weeks where we just eat out of the pantry/freezer and buy just the basics of bread and milk. Usually I schedule these and plan them out, but then sometimes there is just no time for grocery shopping! This past weekend we had my folks in town, we celebrated Blaise's birthday, John had a retreat, and we went to a superbowl party! It was such a fun weekend, but we only fit in a very quick trip to the store for milk and some peppers to make chili for the superbowl party.
So here's the very basic plan:
Monday and Tuesday: Leftovers from the weekend
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: Things with beans, chicken, pasta, cheddar cheese, onions, and/or celery!
Saturday: Go grocery shopping because we are having people over for dinner!
Oh, ya, and we need to make some bread TONIGHT because we are out ;-)
Should be an exciting week!
